Relief and Proportion Through Breast Reduction in Burlington
Breast Reduction

Breast reduction surgery, also known as reduction mammoplasty, removes excess breast tissue, skin, and fat to create a smaller, more lifted, and proportionate shape. For many patients it is life changing, relieving neck, shoulder, and back discomfort while improving symmetry and confidence.

How It Works
During breast reduction surgery, excess tissue is removed and the breast is reshaped to a smaller, more balanced size. The nipple is lifted to a higher position and the areola may be resized as needed. Liposuction of the sides of the chest and bra strap area further tailors the result, and the procedure can be combined with a breast lift when needed. Surgery takes 2.5 to 4 hours under general anesthesia.
Common Treatment Goals
Remove excess breast tissue and skin
Reposition the nipple and areola complex
Reshape the breast mound for symmetry and support
Reduce areola size if desired
Contour the chest and bra strap areas with liposuction
